Booking Information

  • Information to your stay

  • Check-in/Check-out
    Your room should be ready for you by 3 pm on the day of your arrival. On departing you should vacate your bedrooms by 10.30 am.

  • Notes on check-in
    If you arrive before 3 pm, you are welcome to deposit your luggage (without valuables) with us until your room is ready for occupancy. If you arrive after 6 pm please inform us briefly, because the reception is only open until 6 pm.
    Government-issued photo identification and a credit card are required at check-in.

  • Opening times Reception
    Our reception is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm for you, by phone we are available all the time.

  • Opening times parlour
    Breakfast from 07.30 to 10.00 am. (winter)
    Breakfast from 08.00 to 10.00 am. (summer)
    Our restaurant with a small snack menu is open 6 times a week for you from 5 pm to 11 pm (Tuesday rest day) and in summer is open from Thursday to Saturday from 5 pm to 9 pm (remaining days on request).

    Wellness area – daily from 4 pm to 7 pm (in summer on request).
    Bathrobes and bath towels are at your disposal on request at the reception (in winter free of charge).

  • Exact request for room numbers
    It is only possible to meet requests for specific room categories, but not exact requests for room numbers or floors.
  • Discounts for children staying in parent’s room (2 paying adults)

      • In summer: children up to 7 years -100 %, children 7 to 10 years -70 % and children 11 to 15 years -50 % on the room rate per night and person.
      • In winter: children up to 3 years -100 %, children born between 2015 and 2018 -70 %, children born between 2010 and 2014 -50 % and children born between 2005 and 2009 -30 % on the room rate per night and person.
  • Pets policy
    Dogs are only allowed on request and for a surcharge of EUR 10.00 per dog/day (dog food is not provided). If you do bring a dog, you have to bring your own basket and dog blanket. Please note that your four-legged-friend will not be allowed in the restaurant or in certain room categories. When guests arrive with dogs, the hotel reserves the right to include a possible clean-up in the bill.

  • Spa- and wellness area
    Please note that children under the age of 14 are not allowed in the sauna area, which is a nude area and a quiet zone. (In summer the sauna is available on request!)

  • Curfew
    Entry to the property will be closed between the hours of 6 pm and 7.30 am.

  • Quiet hours
    Guests must be quiet between 11 pm and 7 am.

  • Non-smoking
    The hotel is run as a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is prohibited in all rooms and all public areas!

  • Refund
    We do not allow reimbursement for unused meals.

  • Damage
    Damage or material damage will be charged on departure. We accept no liability for self-inflicted accidents, parking damage and loss or damage to property.

  • Festivities
    This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

    Payment can be made in cash (EUR), by EC card, Visa or Euro-/Mastercard.

  • Reservation
    Reservations are only valid in writing in the form of a booking confirmation by e-mail or post. To reconfirm your booking, we ask for a deposit payment, which you will find in your booking confirmation.

  • Cancellation policy and travel insurance

  • Cancellation Policy
    Please understand that we can only accept cancellations in written form. Cancellation terms according to the Austrian terms of hotel contracts.

    The Party may rescind the Accommodation Agreement by means of a unilateral declaration by 30 days before the agreed date of arrival of the guest without being liable to pay a cancellation fee.

    Outside this period, the Party may only rescind the Accommodation Agreement by means of a unilateral declaration that is subject to the following cancellation fees:

    • if cancelled 14-29 days before date of arrival, 60 % of the total price will be charged;
    • if cancelled 6-13 days before date of arrival, 70 % of the total price will be charged;
    • if cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, the total price (100 %) will be charged, also applies to no-show or premature departure.
    • Note: The legal right of withdrawal is substituted by the respective cancellation policy.

    Our special cancellation conditions based on COVID-19 – book securely and cancel flexibly!

    • Free cancellation or rebooking up to 7 days before arrival;
    • 70 % cancellation fee for cancellations made 7 days before arrival;
    • 100 % cancellation fee for non-arrival/late arrival for cancelled nights.

    In the event of cancellation, we need confirmation in the form of a medical certificate.
    If the cancellation is not due to the Corona virus, our regular cancellation terms apply (see above).

  • Travel insurance
    In order to avoid unnecessary cancellation costs, we recommend that you book our “DIE BERGQUELLE travel insurance” directly with your booking.
    For just EUR 7,00 per room and overnight stay you cover all cancellation costs in case of accidents, illness or death which apply to the insured, their children, siblings, parents or grandparents before and during the stay. In the event of an insurance claim, we need a confirmation in the form of a medical certificate or a certificate from a public authority!

  • The general terms and conditions for the hotel industry (AGBH 2006) are applicable. Place of jurisdiction St. Johann/Pg.
