Arrival by car

The journey to Flachau is easy. In the middle of Austria, in the middle of Europe – Flachau is reachable via the A10 “Tauernautobahn” (Exit 66) on direct way – from Germany/the Netherlands via Munich and Salzburg, from Italy via Villach and Spittal. Take the exit “Flachau” and leave the roundabout at the 3rd exit towards the town centre. Follow the road for about 800 m and turn right into “Unterberggasse”. The B&B Hotel DIE BERGQUELLE is directly opposite the Achterjet gondola station.

Useful information
In Austria there is a vignette obligation on all highways and expressways. Vignettes are available at the border crossings and petrol stations. Sometimes additional tunnel or toll fees may apply.
There is safety vest duty for all passengers in the car.

The nearest train station is in Radstadt, one of the neighbouring towns of Flachau (distance about 10 km).
If you arrive by train, it is best to travel with the ÖBB Postbus or a local taxi company to Flachau.
